These two photos that I have posted above are of Goose Pond in Keene NH. This beautiful southwest NH spot is such a great escape for me and it holds many memories. From yelling out my hopes into the lake with friends, to walking around the whole thing with people who are most special to me. It's a great way to experience so many different landscapes in one, and to escape from the reality around you. What I most love about this place is that it's hidden. Although it's a well known spot, every time I go I find myself alone to peacefully enjoy my surroundings.

ReplyDeleteI love that you have so many memories at Goose Pond, I have never been but I definitely want to go now! I really like your photo, it's really beautiful and I want to explore this hidden spot to enjoy nature!
ReplyDeleteThe thing about this post that resonates with me most is that I can relate to the pond as when I was in high school, I went to Kilburn Pond in Hinsdale, NH and did some of the same things that you did. The thing that is most new to me in this writing is the perspective of having this be a happy place. The technical part the resonates with me most is the pictures in the post. I really enjoy how they paint a picture and show the beauty that you are speaking about. The only other thing that this can make me think about is being in high school and all my friends from high school and all the memories that my friends made at that pond. Finally, I would like to add that this is a well-made post and I thoroughly enjoyed reading about your happy place.
